Birmingham Hammers Wheelchair Football

The Birmingham Hammers, based out of Lakeshore Foundation, is one of nine teams in the USA Wheelchair Football League. This co-ed league plays a fast-paced game with contact and touch tackles on a 76-yard, hard surface field. Learn more about the league at www.usawfl.org.

The Hammers will have a maximum of 22 players. The travel roster will have no more than 14 players.  All players must be age 18 or older.

To be eligible to play in the USA Wheelchair Football League, a player shall have a permanent physical disability which consistently reduces the function of the lower limbs to a degree where they cannot run, pivot, block or tackle at the speed and with the control, safety, stability and endurance required to play running football as player without a disability.
