Grants & Opportunities

There are a number of fantastic organizations, including the Kelly Brush Foundation, that provide grants and funding to help people with physical disabilities get active. We have assembled a list of a few key programs, but we are always adding more. Know of an opportunity we should include? Let us know!

KBF: Path2Active Scholarships

Getting back into sports after an injury can be challenging. The KBF’s new Path2Active Scholarships provide financial support to individuals who want to try a new sport, test out a piece of equipment, or build skills by attending camps, clinics, or other adaptive sports programs.
Open to people in the US who have suffered traumatic (non-congenital) spinal cord injuries. If this is you, apply here for up to $500 to get you on your Path2Active. Applications are open year-round and are approved on a rolling basis.

KBF: Active Fund Grants

The Kelly Brush Foundation is dedicated to making active lifestyles a reality for anyone with a spinal cord injury. Life is better active! We have helped over 1,500 people from all 50 states purchase handcycles, monoskis, sport chairs, racing chairs, hockey sleds, and much more.
Through the Active Fund, we provide grants for people in the US who have suffered traumatic (non-congenital) spinal cord injuries to purchase adaptive sports equipment. Applications open twice per year, in February and July, and remain open for two months. Decisions are given 8 weeks after the close of the grant period.
