Big Cheese Basketball Tournament

Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association is honored to host the 9th Annual Big Cheese Classic elite Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on February 18-19, 2023 at Brookfield East High School.

One of the nation’s largest wheelchair basketball clubs – WASA Marquette Golden Eagles – will host five divisions including:

• Women’s
• Intercollegiate
• Championship
• Division 2
• Division 3

14 Competitive co-ed teams from 7 states (Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, Florida, California and Wisconsin) are competing in this highly sought after two-day tournament. Brookfield East High School is an accessible venue that welcomes the tournament and its athletes and fans.

Over 30 games will be played featuring current, former and future Paralympians who will grace the basketball court with their speed, skill and athleticism. Over 150 athletes from young adult to wounded veterans will compete. This event will be supported by 200 volunteers and event officials.

Schedule:

February 18, 2023 8:30am – 6:00pm (Feature Games: 12:00pm and 3:30pm)

February 19, 2023 8:30am – 1:00pm (Feature Games: 8:15am and 9:45am)

Location: Brookfield East High School (3305 Brookfield Road in Brookfield, WI) There is no admission charge and the public is invited to come and watch. Concessions available onsite.
