Nordic Skiing Open House

Looking for something new to do this winter? Join Green Mountain Adaptive Sports (GMAS) on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm for an afternoon of fun on snow at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center (COC) in Craftsbury Common, VT.

This event is free and is targeted at Vermont youth and adults with different abilities and their families. Present will be trained ski instructors from the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, and other professionals serving individuals with disabilities to provide instructions, and support as needed.

Free Nordic ski equipment including sit skis will be provided for participants and their families, and homemade cookies and hot cocoa will be served.

Three years ago, Green Mountain Adaptive Sports developed a partnership with Craftsbury Outdoor Center to offer Adaptive Nordic Skiing for the winter season. The main goal of this event is to introduce individuals with different abilities to the sport of Nordic Skiing, as well as to get new and seasoned participants of all ages on snow for an afternoon.
