Race to the Top of Vermont

We are thrilled to facilitate the participation of any adaptive athlete interested in taking part in the 2024 Northern Delta Dental Race to the Top of Vermont again this year. The Stowe event is put on by our friends at the Catamount Trail Association and will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Please sign up early to participate, or volunteer.

Not familiar with the annual event? The Race to the Top of Vermont draws hundreds of hikers, bikers, and runners from across the U.S. and Canada to climb or bike Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak. The course follows the historic Mansfield Toll Road, which is 4.3 miles long and ascends 2564 vertical feet. For some, it’s all about trying to achieve a fast time on this challenging course. For others… it’s about the camaraderie and the spectacular views while supporting non-profit organizations close to their hearts such as Green Mountain Adaptive Sports and the Catamount Trail Association.

If you wish to register as an adaptive athlete, first click on this link and then choose “non-member.” Fill out the registration form, and when prompted for a code at check out, use the code 24gmascomp which will give you a free entry. This is for adaptive participants only. Family and friends need to purchase their race entry. Select “GMAS” as your team. Once you have officially signed up on our team, we will email you updates about accessible parking, event timing, and other important information to make your time in Stowe and at the event as seamless as possible. Please help us grow the event and invite other adaptive athletes you think may enjoy this event.

VOLUNTEER
There are many ways to participate in this event.

Support an athlete. We will need a few strong men and women to assist athletes on the course. Hard work with a huge collective reward.
Join as a volunteer. You can help at the GMAS tent, offer water and snacks to the racers at the finish, etc. There is no need to be a world-class athlete to be a part of this great event! You can make a difference, and have some fun too! Reach out to [email protected].
