The AOEC is a nonprofit in Maine providing year-round adaptive recreation and education programs for people of all abilities. We have two campuses in the state; Carrabassett Valley and Brunswick. We also partner with many different organizations to provide programs throughout the state.

The AOEC Carrabassett Valley Campus includes:

• Fully accessible overnight lodging for up to 25 people. Located just one mile from the Sugarloaf Access Road! Check out our lodging options here.

The AOEC Brunswick Campus includes:

• Inclusive Programming: Visit our program calendar to view upcoming programs and events.
• Horizons Center: Our fully accessible event and performance venue features a large stage complete with stage lighting and sound system, a wide screen and projector, and seating for up to 125. Learn more here.
• 15 acres of outdoor exploration! This includes Maine Native Sensory Gardens and our Enchanted Forest Project of varied adaptive trails.
• Event and Meeting Space Available to Rent: The Brunswick campus has several indoor and outdoor meeting spaces available for rent including the Horizons Center, a bright and airy meeting room, a full commercial kitchen, and a patio with a gas fire pit and amphitheater. Inquire about rental spaces here.
• Non-Profit Office Space: Office space is available to rent for non-profit organizations with rental agreements including preferred access to the Horizons Center and other facility resources.
• Adaptive Gear Library: We are proud to have over 20 items in our Adaptive Gear Library that individuals can rent for up to two weeks at a time to explore the trails and roads of our beautiful outdoors. Learn more here!
